What’s the number one rule that your parents teach you before you venture out alone?
Don’t talk to strangers.
We’re taught from a very young age that talking to people we don’t know, is a bad thing.
And sure, this is a great rule to follow when you’re a vulnerable kid, but why do we stick to this when we’re fully capable adults?
Yes there are some pretty sketchy people out there, but on the whole, I’d say us humans are a decent bunch.
Everyone’s got a story to tell, they’re just waiting for someone to tell it.
So this week, I’m going to be venturing around Southport speaking to strangers and finding out their story.
I love to talk to random people, it’s probably my favourite thing to do. But that’s AFTER I’ve consumed 4 bottles of corona, 2 shots of tequila, and 8 G&T’s.
Unless you’re drunk, or a salesman, striking up a conversation with a stranger usually fills us Brits with fear and anxiety, closely followed by a side helping of awkwardness.
So this week is going to be interesting…
Will I be arrested? Will I piss people off? Or will I make some new friends…
Who knows.
Say tuned to find out!
I’ll be posting my strangers to my Instagram channel, if they’ll let me.
